About Prophet

Founded in 1993, Prophet’s mission is simple: to deliver creative and effective solutions that contribute to our clients’ success.

Based in Calgary Alberta for many years, Prophet’s principals, Bob and Carmen Gray, moved to Kelowna British Columbia in 2014. Most of the work we provide to clients can be performed from Kelowna but we make trips back to Calgary as required.

Bob Gray

Principal

Bob is well recognized for his expertise in gas plant allocations, production accounting, measurement and revenue optimization. Bob has extensive knowledge and expertise in all aspects of revenue, royalty and operations accounting, gained through more than 30 years’ experience.  

 In addition to consulting within these areas of specialization, Bob is active in development and delivery of software to the oil and gas market. Most notably, Bob conceived and developed the ProTrend fluid analysis management system and recently led the business design on an allocation system for offshore production in China. He was also a principle in the delivery of AC Master Allowable Cost Reporting System (now known as Royalty Management System or RMS). 

Bob has been a regular guest speaker at industry forums such as the annual CSHM conference and has participated on industry committees through organizations such as the Industry Measurement Group (IMG). Bob has developed and delivered courses for CAPPA, SAIT and Mount Royal University.

Carmen Gray

Principal

Carmen is a senior-level management consultant with more than 30 years’ experience, with expertise in operational efficiency, business process optimization, corporate communications, leadership and human resources. She is a trained facilitator and has delivered numerous strategic and operational planning workshops for a broad range of business sectors.

Most recently, Carmen served five years as Director of Operations for the Alberta Real Estate Association, implementing an extensive overhaul of the association’s operation to build operational efficiency and enhance member value.

Previously, Carmen actively consulted for Prophet. Over a 12 year period, she served a range of clients, both large and small, in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors, including TELUS, Bell Intrigna, TransAlta, Calgary Zoo, and Alberta Lung Association to name a few. Prior to her work with Prophet, Carmen held senior-level positions in both corporate and small business enterprises, including Director of Quality and Business Processes and Senior Consultant, Communications, for TELUS and Branch Manager, Maureen Payne and Associates Public Relations Agency.
